The Firecracker
Flower is an evergreen subshrub with bright orange flowers. Leaves are
elliptic, dark green and glossy. They have wavy margins. Flowers are
funnel-shaped with 5 spreading lobes. It
is grown as a house plant in temperate regions. It is grown as a landscape
plant in subtropical and tropical regions. Native to southern India and Sri
Lanka. Hardy in zones 10-12.

Instructions for the Firecracker Flower
1. The seeds
like moist, well-drained soil. Prepare a mixture of half potting soil and half
sand, perlite or vermiculite. Put the soil in a pot. Water the mixture so that
it is moist but not wet. 4. Put the seeds on the soil. 5. Lightly cover the
seeds with a thin layer of soil 1/8 of an inch thick. 6. Water the seeds. 7. Place the pots in an
area with warm temperatures in full sun or part shade. The seeds take 7-10 days
to germinate. 8. When the seedlings are a few inches tall, they can be
transplanted.
