Asparagus fern ‘Plumosa Nana’ (also known as a lace fern) is a lovely houseplant or border plant mostly sought out for its graceful green foliage. Looks great in hanging pots, in a pot on the counter or by your entryway outside. The foliage is also useful as a cut-flower to florists for it’s feathery-looking branches and delicate stems. Also the name fern is in its title, it is not a fern at all. It is from the Asparagus family and is more of a tropical.
How to Care for Asparagus Plumosa Nana Fern
Fertilize monthly with general purpose fertilizer. Water plant extra when soil is dry. Choose well-draining soil types.
Germination Procedure: Sow seeds less than 1/4 an inch into moist soil. Seeds require sunlight to germinate. Germinate in temperatures maintained between 70-80 degrees. Keep seeds and soil moist throughout the germination phase. Germination time: 30 days.
