Scottish Thistle Seeds (150 Seeds). Will be mailed with a stamp and white envelope
Not to be confused with ‘Milk Thistle’, ‘Wild Thistle’ or other ‘Onopordum’ varieties. I am not a pro gardener just as a hobby, There is picture of a seedling so you don’t confuse them with Dandelions and pull them up.
In my NC area my seedlings grow a little in summer then survive the winter and then the get big in the following spring and summer. It is a little 5 feet tall with a lot of buds, Blooms in July-August, If you can get one to grow you will have 1000’s of seeds from all the flowers and seedlings everywhere even in the yard, so check your yard since these are very prickly like rose bushes, bryers, best to deadhead most of them to prevent reseeding everywhere, need only a couple for seeds
To collect the seeds i wait for the purple part to turn brown and i snip it off under the bud head (may want to wear good gloves), let it dry in the house for a week then grab the fluffy as a whole and pull out the ‘fluffys’ and kind of pinch of the seeds, feel free to ask any questions
