Grow Unusual Colored Beets!
55 days. Heirloom Beet Seeds. The Golden Detroit Heirloom Beets have a beautiful yellow interior with a golden orange skin. Beets are sweet and the tops are excellent for greens. The roots remain golden when cooked.. Unlike red beets the flesh doesn’t bleed. Sow early to avoid bolting.
For early crops sow March-early April. For use in summer and autumn make successional sowings of suitable varieties from late April to July. Store roots in dry sand, soil or peat for winter use. (12-16 weeks maturity.)
