Juniper, Burdock, and Dandelion Root Detox Tea stimulates the kidneys, liver, and gallbladder which assist with organ detox and function. This diuretic tea may assist with bladder issues as well, helping to prevent infections.
By stimulating these organs the body is able to remove built up waste (urine) which allows the organs to cleanse themselves and work more efficiently.
Detox teas are great to use when feeling sluggish and worn down, or after periods of excess consumption.
Unlike herbal teas, root and bark tisanes work best as decoctions rather than infusions.
Add 1.5-2 teaspoons of blend to 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil then simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to steep for an additional 10 minutes before straining. The longer you allow it to simmer/steep, the more potent this detox potion will be.
NOTE: Don’t throw out the herbs after first use! You can add another 1.5 cups of water and simmer to make an additional cup of tea.
Drink 2 to 3 cups per day for 3 to 7 days, depending on how strong of a detox your body need.
