Calendula Pacific Beauty mix seeds
It’s hard to find an annual with a longer bloom season than Calendula Pacific Beauty mix
(Calendula officinalis) which blooms in shades of saturated orange and yellow from spring through fall, and sometimes into winter in Mediterranean climates. All calendulas make good cut flowers, but “Pacific Beauty,” with it’s long, sturdy stems and exceptional vase life is a superior choice for arrangements and bouquets. In U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 8 through 10, sow the seeds in autumn when temperatures are cool for germination in spring or in midsummer for fall flowers.
- Calendula “Pacific Beauty” mix seeds germinate in 8 to 14 days.
- Calendula self-sows readily. If you allow some of the seed heads to mature on the plant, you won’t have to plant them again next year.
