A favorite thirst quenching beverage. This tea is very delicious, mild, smooth and slightly naturally sweet.
It has been enjoyed by the natives of the southwest for hundreds of years.
Later was discovered by the pioneers going west, hence the different names given to the tea like ,”Mormon tea, Cowboy tea, Brigham tea” and so on.
It is also known for its tremendous health benefits, helping people with asthma, digestion, and the nervous system.
It is an excellent source of calcium, better than broccoli 🙂
It is also very easy to make!
Simply put a pinch of the twigs (1/4 cup) in 8 cups of water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 15 to 30 minutes. We like ours dark so the longer it steeps the better. And simply pour in a cup to drink, without the twigs of course.
We harvest the tea by hand in the wild in a respectful manner to insure it’s continued growth and multiplication.
We then clean and air dry the twigs and package in air tight, sealed 2 oz pouches.
