We are third generation spice traders. Our history spans back to Jaffa, Palestine. Our grandfather - and his father - were spice traders in Palestine. In 1948, our grandfather, after being displaced from Palestine, lived amongst the Bedouin in the desert of neighboring Jordan.

He sold spices from the back of a camel until settling in Amman where he established the first spice shop in the city [which was somewhat more of a desert oasis at that time]. He also funded a spice producer that would ultimately grow into one of the country's preeminent producers. Bedouin is in our blood. We are like the nomadic tribes of the desert. We have wandered five continents, spending years living and working in Southern Africa, Europe, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. We aspire to live simply and free, for it is through this simplicity and purity we are closest to God and nature.
